Company Profile: Syncom is a privately owned company established in 1988. It has grown rapidly in recent years and currently employs 130 chemists 75 of whom have PhD degrees and the rest a masters degree or equivalent. About 95% of the work carried out is for the pharmaceutical industry and the other 5% is devoted to the synthesis of organic materials. The company is involved in Medicinal chemistry and drug discovery and synthetic support for chemical development and process research. The major focus is on synthesis for discovery chemistry support. Syncom is located in the Groningen in The Netherlands. Our business is with big farma companies, medium sized and biotech companies form Europe and the US.
Key Products: Syncom specializes in organic synthesis on a scale up to 1 kg. Areas of expertise include complex carbohydrates, (un)natural amino acids, glycoconjugates, modified nucleic acids and steroids, (poly)heterocyclic compounds, small molecule scaffolds and small molecule libraries (50-200 compounds based upon unique scaffolds and cores), organic molecules with special physical properties, metabolites, building blocks for construction of complex structures and control of chirality. Syncom is well known for the technology of Dutch Resolution whereby resolutions via diastereomeric salts are carried out with mixtures (families) of resolving agents.
